|Admissions Application Deadline||November 15th||February 1st|
*The notification of acceptance in the admissions timeline chart is to be used as a guideline. Notifications can be sent prior to the indicated months mentioned above.
Applying during the Early Applicant Round to FAU High School provides the opportunity to receive an admissions decision by January, but Early Applicant acceptances are reserved for highly competitive applicants based on criteria aligned to highest performing students historically admitted to the program.
Thus, the Early Applicant round is more selective, with highly competitive applicants with respect to grades, courses completed, Accuplacer scores, and recommendations receiving acceptance decisions.
Mathematics Courses - Early Applicants are typically on course to have completed at least Algebra 1 by the end of grade 8.
Next Generation Accuplacer - Students that have not yet completed Algebra 1 at time of application for the Early Applicant Round are not typically as competitive with respect to the Next Generation Accuplacer Elementary Algebra or Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, and Statistics (QAS) Scores. It may be recommendable for such applicants to take the Next Generation Accuplacer later within the Early Applicant timeline, or plan to test and apply in the Regular Applicant Round.
Early Applicants who are not selected in the Early Applicant Round, are automatically included for admissions consideration in the Regular Applicant Round and will receive an admissions decision by April.
Early Round Decisions- Notification of Admissions Decisions - Applications completed by December 1st will receive priority consideration for early round decisions. Admission decisions will be posted to your online account in mid-January with email notifications to follow.
Regular Round Decisions- Notification of Admissions Decisions - Applications completed by February 1st will receive priority consideration. Admission decisions will be posted to your online account on by mid-April with email notifications to follow.
We will continue to process applications after the final February 1st deadline, however, priority will be given to early and regular round applicants. The Admission Committee may offer qualified late candidates a place on the Waiting List.
One of the best ways to learn about FAU High School is by attending one of our two annual Open Houses. Open Houses are an opportunity for prospective Owls and parents to meet our staff, learn about the programs and experiences at FAU High School, learn about the admission process, and participate in a Q&A with FAU High School staff and current students.

We do ask that families RSVP here prior to attending. You will receive an email confirmation a few days prior to your registered open house to serve as a reminder and to provide further information regarding parking and directions.
